Please post current linux port status, problems, cries for help, shouts of joy, and general gnashing of teeth here. Flames go to /dev/null as usual

Building and running some of the examples reveals that there's problems with the UI updates...
It is very clear in the GuiWithEvents example - moving the mouse around with the button down does not update the window - however, it updates when I release the button. The LabelsWithText example shows a lot of text, totally disconnected from their "homes" ... Also, the ProgressBars example only updates itself when I resize the window. Again, layout is scrambled.. Anyway, It compiles and runs!! Not in debug, though - because VCF insists on loading BlackBox.dll, even on Linux. Looking forward to seeing how far along the VCF is when I get back ! Wednesday I journey away ... Just wanted to post these observations - because, the VCF killer app aside, what would really attract a lot of people to the VCF is a great alternative to GTK+, QT, etc. programming on Linux. I hate C code, and I find QT too much like (evil) MFC - and then it's not really a great license - but with the VCF I can picture myself programming in Linux also ! Great stuff, no quirks - same code on all platforms, no ? -------------------- /* when invited to a free lunch, you should not complain about the quality of the caviar */
